I hate HSBC and am going to close my account
They made me call them from Paris, wait on hold for FORTY minutes, and go through FOUR people (the first of whom I clearly informed that I was on my cell phone from France) for the idiot internet banking fraud division to ask me, "We noticed you logged into your account from France and we just want to verify you are in France."
WHAT.
It's not like I logged on and moved any money. And it's obvious I am in France because I told the first, second, AND third person I spoke to that I am in Paris and this is an expensive phone call.
Then the man on the other line proceeded to tell me off that they are the internet fraud division blah blah blah something to be honest I couldn't understand a word he was saying. Then he said "Goodbye" and hung up.
I am filing a complaint and closing my HSBC account when I get back to New York.

Banks torturing their customers
In this day and age of bank collapse and panic runs, customers queuing up en masse to close their accounts, you'd think the last thing a bank would want to do is torture the existing client base. Well, not HSBC, whose internet fraud division sent me an email and left me voicemails in the middle of the night to call them. So now I call them. I've been on hold for FORTY minutes calling the States (really though come on we all know I am not talking to someone in the United States). This better be good.

Last night
Last night after leaving Chez Moune in Pigalle, Tuomas, Robin, Mark, Wakako, Richard, Liliana and I piled into two taxis and went to Le Cud, around the corner from our old flat in Paris, where a strange blonde man dressed in a striped button-down and sweater around his shoulders shouted gibberish in an overdramatic American accent and rubbed his cheap woven handbag against Mark's chest and pranced around us waving the NoTORIous DVD in our faces.

Milan was so expensive, almost unbelievably expensive.
Drinks run from about €6 to €11 in Milan, but in Paris they are half price. I'm so happy to be in Paris right now.

All the floor space we have.
Seriously, I can't even get far back enough to take a photo of the whole thing.
