Every year, air quality in New York gets worse and worse. People who never had allergies now have them. My allergies get worse and worse. The air is dirty. I wake up at 5 a.m., barely breathing.

Yet conservatives and Republicans in power continue to deny there's anything wrong. As long as millions of people continue flying into JFK, LGA, and Newark, as long as tourism dollars go up, as long as they can carry on single-passenger driving their huge honking SUVs into the city without paying a congestion fee, it doesn't matter that this environment, the air and water here in New York, is destroying the health of the people who live here. (Never mind this country's crappy fake health insurance.
